5 easy steps to join our bunch
We review applications for suitability against the position's criteria. For some of our roles there are mandatory qualifications required and these will be explained in the job advertisement. If your skills and experience match what we're looking for, we will contact you by phone or email. We will also talk to a referee. This helps to speed up the on-boarding process. To protect our business, our people and our customers all employees are required to have a current satisfactory criminal history record and if relevant, a Working With Children Check. If you do not have a current National Criminal History Check, we can assist in organising one for you.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an initial face- to -face interview. You will be asked to bring along proof of identity, credentials, criminal history check and eligibility to work in Australia. Further reference checks will be conducted with referees that you have reported to in recent roles.
FAST TRACK the process and attach all of your documents online.
On acceptance of a verbal offer, we will send you an employment agreement letter, along with other commencement paperwork and a link to our easy to use on-boarding system where you will be asked to complete an online induction. The online induction is your first introduction to our company. It will help you understand how we operate.
Once completed, you're ready to start work with us.
During the first few weeks there will be a lot to learn. You will have a more tailored orientation program when you commence which may involve shadowing with other more experienced staff members.
It was great to be part of a team in fulfilling the palliative needs of the client. The other support workers were absolute gems to work with and I thoroughly enjoyed assisting them and learning from their experience. Thank you [AHCS, Leonie, Care Coordinator] for encouraging me to attend.
Susan, Support Worker
AHCS has been a fantastic workplace to help me re-enter the workforce after time off. They offer support, flexibility, and allow you to work independently. Supporting clients is the main goal for AHCS and that's why I enjoy working with this company.
Shaylee, Support Worker.
Working in corporate support for Australian Home Care is different to anywhere I have worked. Even though I am not in a Support Worker role, I feel like with each initiative I am involved in, I am actually making a difference to people’s lives. It’s not just a job.
