Security Checks required

Australian Home Care holds a position of trust and responsibility with our care recipients.

This means that before you start working with us we will undertake a few checks. These include a reference check, a Police Check and (in some cases) a Working With Children check.

We also ask employees to complete an annual Statutory Declaration.

Police Check

A National Police Record Check (NPRC) is required for all Support Workers, office staff and sub-contractors before commencing employment, or if re-employed after a six month period from the last shift worked.

Working With Children Check

A Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required for all employees who, in the course of their employment, will be required to provide direct, unsupervised care to a child under 18 years of age.

In New South Wales, staff also need to complete a Prohibited Employment Declaration, regardless of whether they will be working with children.
