How we support our Care Recipients
When you choose Australian Home Care to assist you with your personal and other home care needs, you can be confident that you'll have the support you want and need, to maintain your independence.
Targeted care
At Australian Home Care we know how important it is to carefully match our care recipients’ needs with our Support Workers and their particular skills.
This process begins with the development of an Individual Client Profile and Support Plan. This plan is developed in consultation with you (the care recipient) and your family, along with your case manager and any other treating health professionals. This means we get a thorough understanding of the type of support you need, and how, where and when you would like to receive these support services.
Australian Home Care has staff who are experienced in providing care to people who have special needs, and we can provide services to care recipients with complex physical and/or behavioural support requirements.
24/7 availability
Your local Service Coordinator will always be your first point of contact during normal business hours. But in emergencies, you can call us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and know that your call will be answered by an Australian Home Care staff member.
Respect for your rights
Australian Home Care has a clear policy outlining care recipients' rights and responsibilities. We take your rights very seriously, and have procedures in place to ensure that, among other things:
- you are informed of all decisions affecting your care
- your privacy is respected at all times
- you receive the highest quality care
- you participate in all decisions about your care program
- your personal safety is made a priority.
